Description
I worked as Promotions Art Director on CLEO magazine from 2000-2002, then later on worked on a freelance basis doing the same job for various magazines including Harpers Bazaar, Shop til you Drop and Burkes Backyard. All work was for the advertorial department and included concepts, design and art direction, working closely with the account managers.

Hotel Chocolat – a luxury chocolate company in the UK with ethical values. Starting out as a successful direct mail company, they extended to opening high street stores nationwide across the UK. I was employed as the Creative Manager setting up the design department from scratch, this included:
– Recruiting and managing a team of designers, artworkers and freelancers.
– Maintaining creative brand consistency and levels of excellence through design in all areas: stores, catalogues, DM, product photography, online and email communication, promotional material, and packaging.
– Store window display creative direction and all in-store graphics.
– In-house product photography.
– Art directing and organising photo shoots.
– Press passing and checking final proofs.

I was booked as a freelance designer to design OPSM's corporate wardrobe style guide. I used photography supplied by the client plus I chose relevant stock images to suit. The brochure was 46pp with 2 spot metallic inks which made it nice.Graphic Design, Illustration2011 -
